Perfect Pesto Pasta

Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups lightly packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) freshly grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
  • 1/3 cup Mazzone Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Original OR and of the flavor infused oils)
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 1 (16 ounce) package pasta

Directions:
  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the basil, and olive oil. Whirl to form a paste.
  2. Stir in pine nuts; season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until done. Drain.
  4. In a large bowl, mix pesto mixture into pasta. Stir in grated cheese. Serve.
