Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups lightly packed fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup (4 ounces) freshly grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
- 1/3 cup Mazzone Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Original OR and of the flavor infused oils)
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 (16 ounce) package pasta
Directions:
- In a blender or food processor, combine the basil, and olive oil. Whirl to form a paste.
- Stir in pine nuts; season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until done. Drain.
- In a large bowl, mix pesto mixture into pasta. Stir in grated cheese. Serve.
